RE: My Bulking Log!!!!! - Thursday, December 07, 2006 5:12 PM
today was a great workout, i felt really energized(way to jittery, but energized).  here it is:

One-Arm Row- 50, 55, 60, 65

Close Grip Pulldown- 165, 165, 172.5

Wide Grip Pulldown- 150, 157.5, 165

Cable Curls- 110, 110, 110

Cable Crunches- 190, 190, 190(all x10)

i felt really supercharged for my one-arm rows.  i did 50 and it felt light, i moved my way up to 60 and it still felt light, than i went to 65 and it still felt light, but it was already my 4th set, so i stopped.  i felt like i couldve easily gotten 75lbs, which i think is amazing, seeing as how i was doing 50lbs only 2 weeks ago for 8 reps.

i eat 3200 calories a day which is made up of about 250g of protein and 300-350g of carbs and the rest is fat.  i eat meal replacement bars for 2 meals a day while in school.  besides that i eat a lot of oatmeal, brown rice, chicken, and eggs.

I say at least 3,500 calories for bulking protein levels look good though...  4,000 calories would be better but i suggest maybe starting at 3,500 instead of 3,200 shoot you could bump that up to 3,500 with a couple cheese sticks lol  so i guess it wont make a huge diff but still 3,500 would be a better start.. I know some people who eat 6,000  its insane i know.  Its hard for me to get to 5,000 i usually only get 4,200 in a day.

Good Luck though man!

RE: My Bulking Log!!!!! - Friday, December 08, 2006 6:11 PM
being in school from 7 and not getting home til 4 makes getting that amount really hard for me.  my last bulk i tried 3500 calories and i thought i gained to much fat, so ill see how this goes than ill bump it up to 3500.  im gonna do this strength training for only a month than im gonna go for size, so ill probly go up to 3500 at that time.  also w/e i get around to using my 2 bottles of x-factor, im gonna bump up my calories to about 4000 which is gonna be a real struggle for me, but i think i can pull it off.  generally i shoot for about 500-600 calories a meal, about 30-40g of protein and about 50-60 carbs and about 10-15g of fat.  when i go up to 4000 calories, ill bump it up to about 70-80 carbs a meal and a lil bit more fat.

i was gonna start my x-factor log last week but i read in just about every log of it that they got sick while using it, so i decided to wait til late winter at the least.  the reason being is because i like to snowboard and if im sick, there goes the opportunity

RE: My Bulking Log!!!!! - Wednesday, December 13, 2006 3:13 PM
today was another awesome workout!!! here it is:

Dumbbell Bench Press- 100, 110

Bench Press- 155

Incline Bench Press- 115, 125, 135

Pec Deck- 135, 150, 157.5

Lateral Raises- 17.5, 17.5 17.5(per hand)

Tri Pushdown- 75, 75

Leg Press- 320, 340, 340

Deadlifts- 225, 225

Shrugs- 300, 300, 300

today was an AMAZING workout. i improved 10lbs on both the incline, flat bench, and dumbbell bench press!!! i even went up 20lbs on the leg press!!!

Coulaid, for the lat pulldowns, my back feels like its doing most of the work, where as my arms are just holding on.  idk if the fact that i keep my elbows in has anything to do w/ it.  i definitely pushed myself to get the 172.5 though.  i was pumped like crazy after that.

thanks, my bench has come a LONG LONG way since i started.  lets put it this way, when i first started working out my arms were a whopping 11" and i wasnt even ripped or anything.  im embarrassed to admit that

in just a week or so my bench has gone up 10lbs, so im extremely happy.  i hope to be benching 185 for 5 reps by february

RE: My Bulking Log!!!!! - Monday, December 18, 2006 3:16 PM
it was a good workout again, ive been improving on weight very quickly, a lot faster than i thought actually:)

Bench Press- 155, 160, 160

Dumbbell Incline Bench- 110, 110x3(i failed:()

Dips- 3x8

Upright Rows- 85, 85, 85

Shrugs- 300, 310, 320

Squats- 95, 105, 105

Deadlifts- 225, 235

i improved again on the bench press.  i pretty much crapped out on the incline bench, i got pissed and stopped it, lol.  upright rows, i think i couldve done 95, but i couldnt find the bar:(.  i improved 20lbs on shrugs:).  i have pretty bad knees, so squats are very very painful, i really shouldnt even do them at all.  Deadlifts, i finally improved on them, i started to think i never would.
