I'm not going to knit pick you. Your right for the most part, im just going to chime in and share what I know.
They did a study and apparently it has to do with where your heritage lies. Not whether your black/white/teal now. The big difference is in the amount of fast/slow twitch muscle fibers. For the most part African Americans tend to come from the heritages that allow for this to happen, for them to have a natural advantage.
Thats not to say someone else cant put in the hard work, blood, sweat, tears and do it. They just have to work at it harder.
Genetics can play a big roll in sports but I dont think it is the deciding factor.
Hell, im white...obviously, lol. I have always been a real athletic kid growing up. Unfortunately for me instead of being able to play sports in a normal school my mom made me go to an art school...I still play football on a local semi pro team, and a ran a 4.6 last season. Thats with no coaching, bad form, and little to no prep for it. When I was around 190 I was able to dunk, but I havent played basketball in more than a year and I have been bulking up a lot, now close to 240 I doubt I could still dunk right now. But there is no doubt in my mind I would be able to if I would train for it.
I guess what I'm basically saying is yes your heritage can impact more than just your skin color, but it is not the deciding factor in sports/lifting.

I don't mean this to be offensive at all but why does it seem like black guys are so buff. I mean I look at some of these nba players who are 6'10 and who have arms bigger than my head it;s just crazy.
their body is different than ours dude.
their bones, and muscles grow differently than ours do. (in a sense that it's easier for them to pack on mass and make gains) hence the reason they can jump so well, and run so fast.
but, this does have a negative side. how many black people do you see that can swim like the white guys? their bones just seem more dense, and seem to slow them down
take all of this with a grain of salt please. i'm sure someone will nit-pick it and turn it around on me. but all i'm trying to say is that it's easier for african americans to gain muscle than a caucasian.
