There I said it.

I officially know the product will be launched.  If there is an ETA, nbody told me but...
  • Less fat
  • Smaller container (maybe cheaper?)
  • Smaller servings
  • 8 flavors at launch (I think)
MM is the bomb!  Biggest complaint I've seen on DB to date is:

* too much fat
* too expensive

Hopefully Muscle Milk Lite will address those issues...  Smile

sounds real nice.

those are the only problems with musclemilk..and the fat really isnt that big of a problem, just price.

maybe theyll drop the price which would be nice.

I tend to agree... The high fat isn't soo bad but the price kinda kills it for me.

I would definitely use it if it had less fat and was cheaper. I tend to just buy a big tub of whey w/77 servings. I hate spending money something that is only 20-30 servings and I'm out of it in 2 weeks.

That's what I hear from them.

I don't know how much cheaper or how much smaller the container would be.

Evo-Pro as I'm told has some higher quality and different proteins (caseins and such).  And of course it is less in fat.

In other words, it's not just like Muscle Milk without the added fats.

Alot of people do say that MM has alot of fat in it, but I think we need to look at that it isnt the fat that makes us or keeps us fat. The fat in it is generally looked at as a fat that has been proven to not store into the body unless in excessive amounts..

I drink Muscle milk after every workout, and multiple times on the weekends and have having no problem loseing weight, I'm actually loseing to fast, so if you have a very low fat diet as I do, the small amount in MM is a welcome change, and probably a good addition to my diet.

I for one will keep forking out 25+ for a old container of a liquid gold substance, fatty or not.

**Note I am still mad about getting the rotten pre made shake from them last week Smile**

Per serving mm has alittle more protein in it but consider this:   75 grams (2 scoops) of mm has 32 grams of protein in it, 32 grams of evo pro (1 scoop) has 26 grams of protein in it, so evo pro is 81%  protein and mm is 42% protein.  Evopro has 32 servings in it for almost the same price of mm which has 15 servings in it, so if you want the most protein for the buck evopro is the way to go.  Mixed with milk evopro taste pretty good too.

Thats sounds great but Im afraid that less fat will mean less taste which is what makes me a mm drinker for life, hopefully im wrong, either way I cant wait to try it.

Cystosport claims that the 80 or so percent of the saturated fat contained in MM is derived from MCT's (medium chain triglycerides) which studies have shown to be burnt first in the body as a primary energy source(similar to maltodextrins)  The only problem with this is that there are 16 grams of fat(avg) per servering depending on flavor and only 8 of that is saturated fat. About 6.4 grams of sat. fat is made from mct's if thats the case.  So what is the other 8 grams of fat, not saying its bad for you but thats still 8 grams of fat.  Sure it could be EFA's or trans-fat.  But when your taking in 16 grams of fat, plus the possible fat in the milk you mix it with, your looking at about 20 grams of fat.  I'm sorry but when you take in 20 grams of lipids, I dont care if its made of MCT's or not, your gonna be doing your heart a world of pain.

FAT IS NOT THE PROBLEM.
(Trans-fat would be.)

This fear of healthy fats is a holdover from when we were ignorant!
Fat is ESSENTIAL for muscle growth.

If they take out the fat...it wont be worth a damn..but it will sell better due to the fat-phobia.Smile

I do agree with youm but I dont do the milk thing, and if I didnt drink this stuff my diet probably woundlnt have nearly enough fat... The fat in MM is what makes it work so well, to build muscle and survive we need it.
