Cytosport's Muscle Milk is marketed more as a cutting supplement than for bulking.  When I was in high school and needed to gain weight for football ater cutting for wrestling, I used Cytosports Cytogainer with favorable results.  It's cheap and tastes good, but it recommends something like 12 scoops a day and I did very well taking one heaping scoop post workout.

If you like cottage cheese, milk, or yogurt (the good kind), you can eat these before bed, and leave the muscle milk on the shelf.

In my opinion Muscle Milk is more of a MRP than anything(I mix it with oats for delicious results.) but in terms of a gainer I have good things about NLarge 2

MM is a slower digesting protein for in between meals and right before bed.  I would personally choose Sustain over MM, because Sustain is made with high quality casein and does not include a lot of unnecessary artificial junk.

theres a lotta threads on this but the idea behind MM is that the fats are MCT (Medium-chain triglycerides) that are used by your body as fuel very quicky (almost like a carb more thna a fat), and that this process burns fat. I like MM in my oats and sometimes in a MRP, and thats about it. I do think everyone should have a hidden stash of MM though theres no other supplement like it really.

I dunno how i feel about these supposed MCTs. I have a tub of muscle milk and im just using it for my post workout now until its done and im not gonna get it again. I really dont trust that putting 12 grams of fat per serving into your body is gonna make you leaner.

Yeah I agree. It's just something you should keep around. Just for the taste if nothing else.
Let's not get to thinking this is acctually some great cutting supplement just beacause all the advertising. The truth is you could do a lot lot worse then muscle milk when you're talking about a meal, but they're still fats and calories.
But you need fats. It's acctually not particularly fats that you should really watch out for but sugars if you want to be really lean.

I only use 1 serving a day though.

Yeah I use slightly less than about 2 scoops a day ( one scoop in oats then another in a various shake)
