I'm going to start a more active cardio schedule soon, partly to reveal some definition. Should I be worried about muscle loss if I still eat well?

Ah, thanks. What would you call "short and intense"? I usually run between 1.5 and 3 miles with a half hour or so of aerobics spread out in there.

do sprints and try to find a program that you are capable of doing and then keep increasing it. Muscle takes a long time to deteriorate but don't completely eliminate your resistance training or it will slowly begin to atrophe. Keep your meals light and often and you should be good to go.

Appreciate it. I can't only do, say, sprints, because I want a head start for boot camp and infantry school. I need to run at least 2 miles or so each time. I usually do sprints within these long runs. I definitely have not stopped my resistance training, though.
