its good to take just for general health reasons. It does not harm you to take it. It helps in the long run.

They act as a sort of "insurance" to help you fill in the gaps for the vitamins which you do not fufil.

Well. Here's a small part of how it relates to bodybuilding. When you work out, your body creates more free radicals. Free Radicals are pretty much what lower your immunities, which in turn makes your more succeptible to getting a cold or something worse. Anti-Oxidants such as Vitamin A, E, C, selenium ect.. fight Free Radicals and boost your immune system.

Teh AnimalPakz is the best, I agree.

You also need a multis because if you are an active athlete and are taking other supps, processing these supps and maintaining biological homeostasis will use up the natural amount of vitamins and minerals the normal person consumes. That's why supplementing your diet with a multi will help, it will replenish these used vitamins and minerals and provide you with levels conducive to maintaining a healthy body. Consuming a multi designed specifically to meet the needs of a bodybuilder or elite athlete is even better, that's why I swear by the Pak.

Also, somebody told me that everyone who takes AnimalPak will live forever and look 21 while doing so. The AP can also looks cool on top of your fridge because it provokes conversation which usually results in, "yeah, it's for elite athletes, I gotta take it to stay healthy".

Well I guess another concern that i have is, how do you know that the multi you are taking is actually working? Obviously its not like other supplements that give you pumps or major energy, but there has to be a reslut to taking them. Its hard to take something without seeing the effects of it. I take them myself, but I just want to know that it is the right thing and not a waste of money.

You can tell AnimalPak is working because it does give you noticable energy (from the performance optimizers). I can especially tell because I take it on my days off and get a rush. I saw on multi infomercials that run at 5am that you should feel them working (I take that with a grain of salt because it's paid programming but hey, they are telling you that you will feel increased energy or you can ask for your money back), and I do feel a rush from AnimalPak and get steady gains when bulking so I'd like to think of a multi as an insurance policy of sorts.

It also depends on what you get through your multi. Something like Animal Pak adds in quite a few things in comparison to your regular Mega Man or Opti-men. Each Vitamin has a purpose. With a higher B-Complex you're going to feel more energized. I notice I focus much better when I'm consistently taking a good amount of vitamins. It's not something you're going to notice like "The pump" with arginine, or something you want to take only when you get sick or something is wrong. You take it to prevent those things from happening completely.

Seems like you are the one addicted to Mega Man. I should know, it takes one to know one, heh heh. Smile

I have been taking Opti-men and i dont get any energy or anything like that. The only thing i see is NEON urine. Maybe I will try Animal Pak and see what kind of results I get from it.

It's not something you're going to take and then 30 minutes later actually notice a kick in energy. If you're really worried about the energy aspect, find one with a higher B-complex, specifically B-12.

I take MegaMen multi vit

I find that Animal Pack is way too many tablets to take in a row.

30 minutes after a full meal my stomach is still full, then to put two glasses of water with rock sized tablets in your tummy 30 mins after eating, that doesn't feel to good...-_-"

Can a multi make you feel worse?
Is it possible to be too sensitive to an ingredient in a multi?

I ask this because I have been feeling run down, sluggish and cloudy headed for a couple of months now... I know that I have certain allergies to foods but I eat really clean and try to avoid dairy unless I am eating my cottage cheese. I am not sure what has been making me feel so crappy but I have not taken my multi in a couple of days and I seem to be feeling better.

The one that I am taking is supposed to be better than the GNC Mega Men and has a higher B-12 concentration for an energy boost and increase of focus. Lately, I have been FAR from focused. I sit at work and fight fatigue and my head seems SO cloudy that I can barely get anything done.

I am not saying that the multi has anything to do with this but I have felt a little better over the last two days when I have forgotten to take the vitamin. Any connection?

Anyone have a suggetion to remedy this fatigue and cloudy headed feeling?

Seabass1 it would help if you told us the name of the multivitamin you are refering to.

Are you taking Animal Pack, I don't know much multi's that are stronger than GNC MegaMen.

There are surely some vitamins and minerals that cannot be taken in excess otherwise they can cause adverse effects, but they should not put any dosages in harmfull amounts in a multivitamin tablet, unless specifically for a high age group (only over 18 or 21), then if you are underage it can be harmfull if your body can't utillise all the compounds or safely egest them.

At least give us the Nutritional Facts, and if you are under 18 or over 40 your age would be good to.

I think that the name of the vitamin is Ultra Mega Gold (Without Iron). I was taking one in the morning and one in the evening. The lady working told me that it was better than the Mega Men and that it had twice the B-12 and would give me energy...
I am 29, 5'11" and right at 200lbs.
I drink tons of water.
As far as sleep goes...I go to bed at a decent hour and always sleep through the night. One problem there is that I think I don't REST when i sleep. Not sure if it is allergy induced or not but i think that I may have a problem breathing while asleep. I can sleep 8-9 hours and wake up just as exhausted as when I went to bed. Now, this doesn't always happen...but it does happen more often than not.
I wonder if I may have sleep apnea...or something like that...i have no idea.

anyway, I have felt better since I stopped taking the multi. I am still a little tired but I don't feel coudy headed like I did before.
