vacation with friends? or family? or is this witha church group? sounds fun eitherway. i went to chile back in february. was SO much fun. dude.. u need to take lots of pictures when u go over there. i wanna see them when u get back.

Sunday - MAXING Bench - 210 x 1 (My goal was 205 and ended up being pretty easy. My TP told me to go for 225 since 205 was easy but failed. I then did 210 and i barely got it up. even fresh i doubt i could have done 215.) Powercleans - ramped 3x5 115/120/125 (I didn't max on these or anything, but i just wanted to see how i faired on heavy weight and it felt real good.) Pullups - 20 x bw (just to fill out the time) Happy that i was 5lbs more than my goal on bench. It's always been lagging and it feels good to get in the 200 range. I did feel like a tool that i walked into the gym and started maxing out on bench. haha, oh well, what are you going to do?

Tuesday - MAXING Deadlift - 335 x 1 (i am pretty happy with this pull. form was great. i maybe could have squeezed out another 5 - 10 pounds but was happy with this one. my goal was 315 and pulled it pretty easy.) OH Press - 90 3x5 (didn't feel comfortable maxing on this yet, so i just did sets of 5.) Lat Pull - 3x5 heavy for me (just feeling in time and my TP was doing them.) close grip bench 95 3x8 (feeling in time)

nice job mobster' on the maxes. real impressed with your deadlift and your benchpress. i bet if you wouldn't have JUMPED up so high to 225, and went just 10 pounds heavier to 215.. you would have been able to get it. * just curious, but how long were your rest times. mine are a good 4 to 5 minutes when i max out. next time, i'd like to see a max for bb bicep curls, and also a max for standing (and maybe sitting too, but that one's not as important) OH Press. nice work. keep it up

Thursday - MAXING Squat - 290x1 (I only planned on going up 10 pounds from my last max i had and thats what i did. My form has developed a bit sine my last one and 290 was probably all I could have got. I was worried for a monent I was going to fail but got it up.) DB bench - 60's 3x5 (decided i was going to use dumb bells for a while just to mix it up. 60's was not much for me to find out but i wasn't sure when i started. i'll up them next time probably to 70's) Power Cleans - 135 3x5 (WOOT! these things kicked my ass but felt awesome. my form "felt" good on all but about 1. I'm sticking to 135 for another 3x5 probably though. start progressing after that.)

Monday - (SS ROUTINE) Squat - 3x5 225 (Finally did low back squats and i got to say they were great. I got used to the feeling on my warm up sets and was golden on my working sets. I'm feeling it today too.) DB Bench - 3x5 65's (still pretty easy. wondering if 70's will be more of a challenge.) Deadlift - 1x5 275 (I was exhuasted after these. It felt pretty good though.) I only have 9 more days to train until a 2 week break, so i got to make them count.

Wednesday - (SS ROUTINE) Squat - 3x5 230 (Man i was still sore in the glutes and top of my hammys from monday when i did these. I think this time around felt even better than the last besides i had to the bar a little too low on my first set. but i fixed it and it was great.) OH Press - 3x5 95 (failed on number 4 on the last set. going to drop down in weight a bit and go from there.) Power Cleans - 3x5 135 (these were exhuasting but felt good. going to move up to 140 next time. form seems to be better except when i get tired and don't get a good jump in there.) overall this routine is rough. the squat/deadlift or sqaut/power clean combination is deadly.

Saturday - (SS ROUTINE) Squat - 3x5 235 (Felt great. either the low bar allows you to have a more powerful squat or my strength has went up because these are feeling pretty easy.) DB Bench - 3x5 70's (as i expected these were pretty hard for me, but i got them all.) Deadlift - 1x5 280 (yike! this was rough for me but i got through them with good form. close to 5 rep max i think.) unfortunatly, I think this is going to be my last training day for a while. I only have 3 days left before i leave and over the weekend i got a nice little cut on my foot. Inorder for me not to agravate that anymore, i've decided to skip my last workout. I also got a nast sunburn on the back which would not make squatting very simple. I'll be back and hitting the weights hard again the first of september though.

Tuesday - (SS ROUTINE) Squat - 3x205 (started lite to get back in the game. I am a little sore though.) Bench - 3x5 155 (I think i may have lost some on bench because this was actually kind of hard for me.) Deadlift - 1x5 245 (felt good) well i'm back and ready to go again. I had a ton of fun overseas, but i'm ready to get back in my routine again too.

Monday 9/16/08 - (SS ROUTINE) Squat - 3x205 (have a pain in the right side of my hip. not sure whats that all about but i can work through it.) Standing OH Press - 3x5 65 Power Clean - 1x5 115 (last set didn't go very well.) I guess I wasn't as back as i thought, but i think i am now. I was not feeling very well after and during power cleans. I had a couple rough days/nights over the weekend so i will chalk it up to that. It's time to get back in the routine though.

Friday 9/19/08 - (SS ROUTINE) Squat - 3x215 (feeling much better than before.) Standing OH Press - 3x5 70 (not to bad) Power Clean - 3x5 120 (these felt pretty good.) I think i'm finally getting back into shape a bit. I'm at least not getting to tired by the end like when i started. espeacially at these lower weights.
