Mixing whey: Am I missing something? - Friday, June 11, 2004 2:28 PM
All of these whey products advertise "easily mixes with water" and some say "mix with just a spoon!" I don't know what whey everyone else uses, but the kinds I've used (prolab & interactive) if you don't use a high powered blender, there's no way to get this stuff to dissolve without large gooey chunks that cling to the bottom/side of the glass. Is there some method I'm not doing here? (I'm usually mixing with orange juice)

It might be the orange juice. I've mixed my Cytosport Muscle Milk with water and 1% milk and had little to no issues with what you describe. I've had those issues in the past with not so great proteins and ones I bought many years ago.

If you cannot get it to mix, then you might consider switching brands. Not all proteins mix the same. Many good ones do mix easily with water and leave no residue behind.

I've not used a blender to mix my protein in years.

Not all proteins are created equal. But the mixing issue.. shouldn't be an issue with the advancements in production.

LOL, by now, I probably sound like a rep for Isopure...but I've tried (as many have here) many different brands of protein, and Isopure in my opinion, was the easiest to mix. I don't even use a shaker cup anymore, I pour some water in a cop, break out a spoon, and just pour in a little bit at a time while spinning the water with my spoon. Not one chunk after I'm done pouring in the protein...

I just use my Personal Power Mixer so it doesnt make any difference what brand I use. But from all the brands I`ve tried I must admit CytoSport was the easiest to mix , ON`s products can be easily mixed too but still not good enough as cyto

Only protein I've had a problem mixin' is HNS Driver but that's a casein and is a big pain to mix. The ON mixes very easy with just a spoon and the CytoSport takes a good ammount of shakin' but it mixes pretty good. Too bad Supplements101.com doesn't have a good selection of flavors (or the best price) for CytoSport EvoPro. I like the EvoPro before bed.

Why do you keep bad mouthing Supplements 101? Please refrain from mentioning our company in any future posts of yours.

For the record... what flavor does Cytosport make of EvoPro that we don't carry? We have all the flavors CytoSport makes so I don't see how you can make that comment.

Also, I went to google. and searched for EvoPro... our price is $27.95 and this is what the first page of stores were selling EvoPro at:

Bodybuilding.com: $29.55
CytoSport: $45.95
BodyConcept.com: $29.77
A1Nutritionproducts.com: $26.95
BradAdventures.com: $34.95
1fast400.com: $26.99
WellFX.com: $39.06

You can verify here if you want (http://www.google.com/search?q=evopro&lr=&sa=N&tab=fw)

So as you can see we are generally cheaper then most sites, or within $1 in price. I ran a bunch of different searches and 90% of the time our prices are cheaper. And not only that but NONE of those stores offer the services we do like returns on opened products.

When I was ordering online yesterday, the only flavors listed on Supplements101.com were Fuji Apple, Melon Patch, Pineapple Pizazz, and Tropical Blitz. Chocolate, vanilla, Berry Delicious, and Cookies & Cream were not on the list at the time. I did find that kinda strange that the only ones would be the less mainstream flavors.

I don't understand why you freak out every time anyone says anything negative about your company. Running a biz you should understand the concept that when you give a customer great service they 1 friend, when you give them bad service they tell 10 friends. Playing the internet Nazi is pretty ridiculous. Why don't you cry about it. And 1Fast400.com does offer return on open products.

Could be.. because he cares? Because if somebody finds a problem he's interested in researching it to make it better for the customer?

The stores I worry about are the ones that don't respond.. to anything. It's obvious they aren't worried about anything but the $$$$

Very true. Which is why... Kris as well as myself and every mod here does 100% they can to be helpful and address the issues at hand.

Playing the internet Nazi is pretty ridiculous.

I see it as doing independent research to prove his point.

Since the inception of this forum, Kris has listened to customers and members (who might have never purchased from him but posted on this forum) to better his store. Going out to Google might seem "Nazi" or it might seem like he wanted to make sure that his prices are better or at the very least competitive.

In a business such as supplements where it's a lot of hype and markup.. you are correct that if you offer good service, you tell 1 friend. Offer bad, and you tell 10. So true.

Which is why I think Kris and many of the members go the extra mile to help people out to spread the word. To do exactly as you say. Get that 1 good referral and hopefully avoid the 10 bad.

Well so far you're the ONLY person that has come to these forums to complain about Supplements 101.

You've mentioned my company 3 times... and all 3 times you've complained about something which you had no basis to do.

I'm simply stating my case when someone says anything negative about my company. If I don't say anything readers will think "Man... that company is bad." Or in this example they may say "Man... Supplements 101 doesn't carry all the EvoPro flavors and their prices suck." Now that's not true now is it? We do carry all the flavors and are prices are better then most of the stores out there. I respond to all compliments and complaints about my company. If you were to come in here and continuously compliment Supplements 101 then I would continue to thank you. Compliment or complaint, I'm here to respond to anything about Supplements 101.

Like I've said before, if you're not happy with Supplements 101 then that's perfectly fine. But don't come onto these boards and bash the company that keeps this board on the net.
