So I need to increase my bench numbers big time so I'll try to design a routine to work on it, tell me what you think. Monday-Triceps/Shoulders Tuesday Back/Biceps Wednesday-legs Thursday-Chest/triceps Friday-Rest Saturday-Big Compound Lifts day Sunday-Rest Layout: Monday: SkullCrushers Close-grip Benchpress Dips Shoulder press Lat Raises Reverse Flies Tuesday: Db Rows BB rows Deadlifts E-z curls Negative concentration db curls Wednesday: Squats Lunges Calf Raises Abs work Thursday: Bench press Dumbell Bench Press DB flies Push ups Dips Friday- Rest Saturday: Bench press Squats BB rows Deadlifts Sunday-Rest Basically the reasoning behind this is, I need to work my benchpress numbers( I need to add 50+pounds ) With this workout i'd get 1 day fully concentrating on my triceps and shoulders, two other days who will work chest and triceps as well. I get normal days such as back/bicep and legs cause I musn't neglect them. I get a full heavy compound lifts day because they will increase my overall strength and might break my plateau. This results in workout all major muscle groups 2 times a week, and my objective chest/triceps 3 times a week with rest in between workouts. I'm not sure if i'll keep those exercises but basically the compound lifts will be low reps high sets and isos will be low sets high reps. Opinions?
My 5x5s as of November 2nd 2008. Squat 155lbs Bench 155lbs Deadlift 155lbs Connelly's 5x5s as November 2nd 2008 Bench 115 Squat 145 Deadlift 165 Andy11's 5x5 as November 2nd 2008 Bench 150 Squat 150 Deadlift 175
