Milk - Friday, January 02, 2004 10:35 AM ( #1 )
I try to drink a lot of milk because its great, easy source of protein. I drink a lot of skim milk so I don't get the exta fat. However I read on a site that 2% milk might be better for bodybuilders....is there any validity to that? I don't see why someone would want the extra grams of fat when they can get the same amount of protein with zero fat

I don't see why either. Your suppose to take in some fat but I don't think that the fat in milk is the type u'd want.

The reason Arnold said that is because:

1. he can afford expensive protein souces.
2. lactose is hard to digest as we get beyond our childhood years.

I drink it still today at 31 and love it but there are better sources, so I don't recommend drinking a half a gallon a day.

If some people hate milk, may be some of you I don't know, try taking a calcium pill in the morning as a replacement, you can get other nutrients and things from other sources.

That must be only for when he is on a bulking diet (...) it definitely sounds like a good bulk food, especially for getting calories up!

I'll look into it a bit more and see what I find out. I might want to use that to help build lean mass.
