It's still a liquid, and that's basically no different then eating protein and fats with a mountain dew. The amount of protein / carbs / fats that milk has isn't ideal for a weight-lifter trying to increase muscle mass. The ratio is different than what you should be trying to consume.

No high fructose corn syrup metabolizes entirely differently the the simple sugar found in milk. The sugar in milk can be contribute to excess fat gain, especially if you are sensitive to dairy, however if you can process dairy well, it is a fabulous source of calories. It is nothing like a mountain dew! read http://www.discussbodyb...-Corn-Syrup-m162193.aspx you do not just pick foods that conform to your ratio, you design MEALS the do... by combining food sources... it's called cooking.

I understand what you are saying to some degree that it is all broken down the same and it all turns into simple sugars. But I think if you are looking at it like that then you have to back up a step. Weather you put the highest Super unleaded in your car or just put regular unleaded, either way your car will run b/c at the end of the day gas=gas. Food is the same way but if you put the stuff is closer to natural in your body rather than these synthtic products. Some people can get the same results with pizza and milk that you can with a good diet. Its just the amount of ware you put on your body when you eat that junk. The body is efficient and will run on anything. That doesn't give us reason to feed it garbabe.
It is not the years in your life, but the life in your years.

The biggest point I'm trying to make, is eating regular foods like chicken, fish, rice, veggies, fruit, and drinking water and increasing calories is a more convenient way to gain weight than consuming 7 gallons of milk per week, there's also the chances of the milk souring in your stomach.

And the point everyone else is trying to make is that MILK IS A WHOLE FOOD that should be A PART of your regular diet, not the focus of it. Milk has nourished thriving civilizations all across the globe for tens of thousands of years. How you can compare it to processed, HFCS-laden, caffeinated sugar water is beyond me.

i second mr.raymond ;) milk is like beer to me. nothing like a good ol' glass of hot milk to cheer the spirits. esp on damp cold days. for ppl who compare milk and mountain dew, try having warm mountain dew on a cold day and tell me how it feels. lmao!
