I came up with a very low fat and easy to make pizza sauce that I thought some of our members might enjoy. Especially those trying to eat healthy and still enjoy some favorites. It tastes great and, like I said, is very easy to make. Into a small pan dump a 15 oz can of tomatoes sauce and add 1 teaspoon of Oregano, 1 teaspoon of Marjoram, ¼ teaspoon of basil, and a liberal sprinkling of garlic powder and a ¼ teaspoon of Olive Oil (optional and completely fat free if you omit this). Stir and simmer on a low heat for about 20-25 minutes. This would also make a great dipping sauce. I have made a fat free pizza crust today that was pretty decent but I want to work on it a bit before I put the recipe out here.

A good pizza base would be a big pitta bread that you can get from indian/asian supermarkets or just make lots of small pizzas with normal sized wholemeal pittas! Much quicker that way. Pour the topping on, whack it under the grill, 5 mins later you got a pizza pie!

There is also a flat bread called a "sandwich wrap" that also makes a good pizza. Low or no fat too as I recall. There are also some prepared pizza crusts that only have one or two grams of fat that are also pretty good.

Do you not take fat in your diet? I hope you do.

Healthy fat, but I still try to limit that to a healthy amount. Like most anyone though, I get some of the bad stuff too.
