Methyl 1 Test and caloric intake..
-
Friday, November 05, 2004 9:24 PM
Hey guys Im new to this forum but not to bodybuilding and the one thing Im wondering is this. I just bought a couple of bottles of Methyl 1 Test. I weigh about 215 lbs on a 5'8 frame. Id like to be a lean 190... Do I burn the fat first and start the cycle, or just do the cycle while trying to rid myself of the fat? To me I feel as if starting ona lean physique would benefit the results but I could be wrong. Also what does the caloric intake have to be when using this prohormone? Ghost

Caloric intake should be just whatever it needs to be for your goals if bulking or cutting. There's no requirement that if you are on a prohormone you should eat more. Dijuon said it best (and I'll be damned if I can find that post) but his point was, if you are going to start a cycle of prohormones, you might as well be bulking. You want to grow. Build muscle. When you cut, you do lose a little muscle. There's just no way around it. You can minimize it but fact is, when you cut, you are on a caloric restricted type diet. And taking a prohormone during this phase doesn't seem as useful as when you are bulking and trying to gain mass. You might as well lean up.. and then go on a bulk cycle. That way you get the full benefits of the prohomrone plus you can eat like bulking and maintain your strength. I'd start out lean.. bulk.. then lean out again.

Marc, I have to dissent. I found M1T to be far superior when cutting than when bulking. It allowed me to burn fat faster, and not only retain all muscle, but gain a little as well. I do agree, however, that it all depends on your goals.
