Do body weight work on off days. I have been using body weight stuff for cardio as well, or else you could do other cardio on those off days. Like last night which was one day after a full body weight lifting routine, I did hand stand push ups, then a triple set of one leg squats pull ups and dips without rest done 3 times through, then some ab strengthening work. Won't hurt my progress, although I could lift weights again tonight, I will probably do it in the morning tomorrow. I also like to do things like tire flips and sledge swings on non weight training days. there are olympic lifters who squat every day although I can't personally recommend that, especially since that is most likely the elite, which you and I am sure are not.
