If you were going to take a MRP.. which one would you take? Looking for people' s experiences and recommendations on particular ingredients, amount of such and if you want, BRAND names. I' m going on a hike to Yosemite for 2 days. I' d like a good MRP that I can take 2x a day.. maybe 3.. that tastes good, and has all the essential nutrients in it. So give me your thoughts please.

I' ve always liked Prolab' s Lean Mass Matrix. Tastes good. Comparable amount of protein and vitamins. A good meal replacement for a competitive price. Never had an issue here. And my experiences with it have been great so far. I' d recommend it. -jc

I am a fan of Met-Rx APM 60 and Labrada' s Lean body low carb.

My favorite was SportPharma' s Nutri-Plex.. but they discontinued it.. How can you discontinue an MRP when it' s a valid and selling supplement? Dunno.. but I was disappointed. Rumor is.. they will have something.. but that' s been a rumor for like 5 months now. Anyway, good suggestions. I' ll check them out.

How can you discontinue an MRP when it' s a valid and selling supplement? You already answered your own question. It' s a valid supplement. Meaning: It' s a product that does as it should... but if they create something and make it sound better then it actually is, they will generate greater profits.

Try making your own. Met-Rx Protein Plus is a good blend of proteins (casein and whey). You could throw oatmeal in the blender and fine it down a bit or even use polenta - i recall of someone using that for complex carbs in their shakes. Carry some oil caps (like fish oil) with you and take a few when you drink it. You could, i suppose, make it all at home with water and add the actual oil, but you' d need to keep everything in a cool place to minimise any EFA oxidation. Or you could use olive oil i suppose.
