nice and lean, get to workin hard!! dont be scared of the weights! body weight exercises will only take you so far, i would suggest hittin some iron with your BW workouts. remember too that diet is the most important part to good results, other than hard work of course. good luck though keep us updated!
first day with no buds, 11/17, need a new job. 1 down 13 to go.

yeah if you're only 14, stick to the bodyweight exercises and your jujitsu training. With the right diet you can get some good results at your age.

yeah hit the iron, theres no proof that bodybuilding stunts growth, didn arnold start at around 14 years old? and look how big he is...if your sposed to be tall youll be tall...theres almost nothing that can change that IMO

as long as hes using proper form, he'll be safe. i know guys who began working out at the age of 12, and still grew to be over 6' 2". ive also never seen proof of it stunting growth. just start with low weight and work your way up, there shouldnt be any problems.

support your claim.

I dont listen to what you say anymore, youre wrong again.

you sound like kids in my school who wanna tell me stuff that they have just heard with no proof and insist that its the truth.  Quit spreading your bs.  Your a big guy, some young'n is gonna come on here lookin for advice and listen to your crap just because he wants your physique and your gonna send him down a slippery slope.

i started lifting when i was around 14 (mostly my legs) cuz i wanted to jump higher, even tho i had great form..i still think it messed with my growth, u can really tell my legs are a lil shorter than what they're supposed to be..and now i have really bad knees, if i could do it all again..i would've waited til i was 18..i know i would atleast be a couple inches taller

see i disagree.
i've been working out for a year. and in this year i still have grown 3 inches.
i'm 15 years old and i'm 6'4''.
i don't think it stunts it too much.

I think I grew an inch since working out, which wasn't very long ago. I have no idea, but your trainer probably knows what he's doing.

He never said it would stunt your growth.  However you can mess up your shoulder cuffs and growth plates if you lift too heavy and with bad form.  When your younger they are not as strong.  That is what my cousin told me ( he bodybuilds and is a chiropracter)  As for stunting your growth that is just a myth.

I'd say at age 14 though you should be fine hitting the iron as long as you do it the right way. just remember to keep good form.  WHich should be no problem for you cuz im sure your jujitsu teacher is probably on you with form  so should be no problem.
Get up off your ass and train!

Ill say this much, at 14 years old, any and every high school football player is getting their first introduction to a structured weight training program, if they hadnt been already.  I started when I was 14 and Im 5' 9" at 20 which isnt impressive...BUT I was at 5' 0" at 14....I believe that if lifting was gonna stunt my growth I woulda been a lil shorter than that lol
