I am a 50 year old male and I want to enter into the masters class in a bodybuilding competition. If there is anyone out there that has experience with this class and can give me any usefull information I would greatly appreciate it. Jeff hall[sm=usa.gif]

Hello, Jeff. Welcome to DB.com. There are plenty of opportunities for you to compete in a master's 50+ class. My first question is: are you drug-free? steroids, testosterone boost, prescription diuretics, andros? If so, you can compete in several "tested" contests throughout the United States, the ABA, S.N.B.F., INBF to name three. If you have done any of the banned drugs in the past five years, you can compete in the NPC, a non-tested organization. Although I am a natural athlete, life-time drug-free, I have competed in both tested and non-tested shows. Obviously, I fared better in the tested contests, in a recent show finishing third in my height class, third in my weight class and 1st in Super Grand Master 60+. I am competing on May 21st in a tested show and again three weeks later at a World's Championship - tested show in Toronto. One week later, I will compete at a non-tested NPC show in Alabama as a Open Men's Bantam Weight and Grand Master 60+. I have posted a story, "Training For My First Competition at Age 61" in the Post Your Own Articles thread on this site. You might enjoy giving it a read and then ask any questions you have and I would be happy to provide any insight or additional information. Also, check out my competition photos in the Gallery Section of this site.

Hay shipmate thanx for the reply. Yes, I am drug free and have been since I joined the Navy in 1973 and retired as a surface Warrant Bosn' in 1996. I am very interested in learning more about the drug free competition as I would not be any competition for the huge steroid dudes. I will research there websites and go from there. I believe it is also to my benefit that I am moving to Florida soon because it seems that there are more bodybuilding competitions in florida than here in Colorado. Thanx Jeff Hall

Jeff hall, Youve posted this in the wrong section buddy. It should be in the contest preperation forum. Just letting you know for next time!
