I bought some Ultimate Nutrition Muscle Juice mix yesterday, and it says to use 4 scoops with 500ml of milk or water.  After forcing the stuff down, I feel really bloated.  Does it ever get easier?

I would mix half shakes 2 scoops 10am, 2 scoops 2 pm.  If you do the 4 scoops thats 990 calories (no wonder you feel bloated). You really shouldnt be taking more than 1 full shake a day at that many calories if your eating enough REAL food. How many do you drink a day (weight gainer) not whey or casein shakes?

If you continue to go all at once it will get easier. I make these big breakfast shakes (home made mass gainer) and it gets easier everyday to slam.

Well, I have a pretty high metabolism, and I burn calories pretty quickly.  My job is also somewhat physically demanding, and that's what I'm taking these supplements for.  This is what the lady at the suppliment shop recommended, though she could just be trying to sell more product I suppose.  The directions even mention 4 scoops per serving, but I'm still pretty new to this, and any advice is appreciated.

Thanks!

Edit to add: The lady had recommended that I take these shakes twice a day, or 8 scoops total.

Next she'll try to sell you ecstacy. Keep it to 4, 2 at one meal and 2 for another. Almost 2000 calories from weight gainer is awfully poor nutritionally. RedJeep said it best, listen to him. Saleslady is bsing you and trying to make a buck.

Alright guys, you have me convinced.  I kind of figured it was a little overboard.  Should keep a little extra money in my pocket too.

I have only been drinking one scoop at a time, as the instructions said, is this the wrong approach?  unlike Rodbuster I don't get paid to work out, i have to wait until the end of the day to go to the gym, I have been trying to drink one shake in the morning and one after the workout.  Thoughts?

Well I did 2 scoops this morning at 6am with water since I ran out of milk lastnight, and forgot to pickup more.  By 9 I was starting to get hungry, so I ate a medium sized bran muffin for break at 10.  I was still feeling hungry after that, so I ate a big sandwich at lunch.  That seemed to fill me up, though I think I might try 3 scoops tomorrow morning.  Before I started taking these shakes I would just eat a bowl of cereal in the morning, and I would be just as hungry at break as I was today.

I'll keep you guys updated on my progress. :)

Are these 1 scoop shakes in addition to a small meal or just by themselves? It really all depends on how the macro of the shake fits into the macro of your diet. If your getting most of your calories from real food that your good but if you are not eating much and then only using 1 scoop shakes then I would, in addition to fxing your diet, do at least 2 scoop shakes.
This all depends of what kind of gainer you are talking about, if it is different from rodbusters then my answer might be different. What kind of weight gainer do you have any whats the breakdown for 1 scoop? calories, protein, carbs?

I tried about 3 1/2 scoops this morning with milk, and I was good right up to lunch today.  It went down a lot easier than it has in the past, and I had a lot more energy than usual.  I felt like I could have worked another 4 hours today.  At lunch I ate an oven roasted turkey sandwich from McDonalds on whole wheat, and it kept me going strong for the rest of the day.

No more greasey spoon for me!
