MREs

Meals Ready to Eat Ive been looking into these recently in order to see how applicable they could be towards a bulking program. I do not know much about them as i am not much of an avid outdoorsman or military man. What i do know is they are loaded with calories (1500, 2400, and 3600 options) and are very expensive (60 bucks for about 20). However, i cannot seem to find their nutrient breakdowns anywhere on the internet. Does anyone know how healthy these things are supposed to be or are they just loaded with carbs and fat? My hypthetical question is if someone had lots of money to blow on these things (which i do not) and was looking to avoid cooking etc. would this be a viable option? Just throwing it out there for discussion...thought this might peak some interest as a replacement meal/ calorie suppliment. Whaddya think?

id just make a packed lunch lol. there may be a chance that someone knows something about them on this, altho ill think youll find the mass majority of people on here are on whole foods. end of the day cooking your own quality natural whole foods is the best thing for you. altho if you do find out some more info on them, id be interested to know, if ya wana post em!

I understand everyones affintity for whole/unprocessed foods and their benefits. Im just wondering about the nutritional value of MREs and if they are packed with nutrients (which would be my guess considering what they are used for) do others agree that they could possibly be used as a meal replacement/supplement. That being said i am not even sure what MREs consist of. They must be processed in one way or another considering their self life. Im just intrigued by there dense caloric value and small size. Would probably be easy to take down and make bulking easier. Anyone on here with military experience chime in!
