I've been working bench for about 2 months now and legs about 2 weeks, so I've only had 2 real deadlift workouts. I do 5 sets of 3 reps with 80% of my max, resting about 4 minutes between sets. I eat 4 or 5 times a day and always get at least a gram of protein per pound of bodyweight. I use GNC 100% whey protein. I also get plenty of carbs throughout the day for energy.
