 Local competitions???

Local competitions??? - Monday, May 12, 2008 6:17 PM
I no this is under the wrong poll but this colum seems to be visited alot so i figured there would be more people with more idea and options...Well i am 15 and am a bodybuilder...i live in MASSACHUSETTES... i am willing to go the next state over in every direction does any one have any ideas on any competitions local to me?

ive been lifting on and off for 5 yrs....and just started getting serious about 2- 2 1/2 yrs ago...im expireienced i caught on very quik with the world of bodybuilding

Cool, there should be plenty of shows in your state, maybe google it or call a local gym and ask them.

Well thanks Red Jeep...and rolling stone i am looking to compete alittle just between kids you no like 15year olds just lifting...the first competition i do i just want to get a feel for and then start getting serious...but the main reason id be competing at this age is just to get bigger...but get ready for the later years of possibly competing

im gunna say powerlifting because thats what i am better at....i am a bodybuilder but id rather powerlift...do you no of any excersises that the competitions usually have you compete in??????????

u obviously couldnt do a bodybuilding competition for a long time.

powerlifting you'd have to sign up for ur weight group and then u perform squat, DL, and bench from what i know but i've seen other lifts performed too

Why couldnt he do a BB comp? I know a 16 year old kid that has been working out for like 2 years and he is pretty jacked, he has a show comming up in june and hopes to do pretty well.

I think he was saying that because bodybuilda didn't know whether he was built for bodybuilding or powerlifting, i mean there is a big difference? At least that's what i believe.

this is that skinny kid who got in a big argument in the other thread cause he kept wanting bicep routines. he's 140lb. i think
