I am bulking up to go for my ifbb procard now in Fitness and Figure. I am going to remain natural although I am no longer competing within the natural circuit, but I have gotten all my goals done in that area with achievement of the pro cards I wanted in that arena. Nov is the next one, its regional, tiers up to provincial then national, but its highly political so you do what you can and hope for the best judging outcomes! I know at Canadians they like to see you out there a few years before you get a pro card so that says alot there, as to how true this is I am not sure. Linda

Linda: You are not going to like what I am about to say, but, I am going to say it anyway. You are a Natural Athlete. You have done very well, achieving your goals in the natural arena. Why are you bothering putting yourself against those who, unlike you, feel they need 'enhancements' to be as competitive as you are on your own merits? Stay with the natural circuit. Compete as a natural pro. Show the world you are the best. Become a leader, advocate and spokesperson in natural figure and fitness. As a natural athlete, I have done four NPC shows and have won six trophies in those "enhanced" competitions, including a couple of First Place finishes in weight and age classes. I have nothing to prove in the NPC or Nationals or IBFF. I won't give them any more of my time or money. As a matter of fact, I am flying to Cape Cod, Massachusetts this weekend to compete in a tested show, the OCB Spirit of America, instead of competing in the NPC Vulcan contest right here in Birmingham, Alabama. I am sticking to tested shows, where I can go to each in the best shape of my life and stand up against others on a level playing field. Italianangel, stay with "us" and "forgetaboutthem."

Hey Old Navy, I do get your point but I have attained my goals in the natural circuit and competed as a pro and also learned that they are as crooked and political as non tested shows are......I know in some cases your pee tests don't even get to the tester.....the money is kept by the org and no one knows the better.....and I can go on about what I have learned....its sad but basically there are pros and cons at each turn so now that I have attained my goals I am onto getting my fitness and figure IFBB cards but as a natural and by no way am I dogging the natural contests but just making a point, I am still supportive of natural competition and will go back to that as a bb later on in my life once these new goals are attained. I want to try for these pro cards and feel that JUST BECAUSE I AM NATURAL should not prejudice me from trying and I really am ready to move on and bored with the circuits I am now competing in. I know for a fact there are natural 'pros' who used to use..........but yet the natural shows are usually forever natural.......this is where I see blurred lines between both arenas. Remember I have not only competed in every organization out there I have judged, promoted and ran these shows......those experiences have all affected my thought process. I see this is a delicious challenge and it has sparked my motivation - going for pro cards as a natural in a non tested arena which is where I started and I do remember my frustrations then too but I have learned about how to work my way through that and yet stay natural so I am going to move on to this goal and am excited. Once I am bored with that I am sure I will go back to natural as a lightweight bb and probably retire as a Fitness athlete, maybe do more Figure....not sure but I do want to go into bb again more seriously in 5-10 years and would only do this in the natural circ.
