Hello I'm still trying to get all my meals and calories organised. Been reading a lot of danmirage's posts. I saw his 300 calorie meal plan and he has 5 meals with the last one at 7pm. I'm going for 6 with my last at 10pm before bed. Is this right or do I need a re-think?

Umm 10 is pretty good then, But sometimes if my bed time is around 11 or so, I like to eat a meal an hour before bed, then have myself a protein shake right before i physically get into bed. If your new to protein shakes I wouldnt recommend this because it will probably not settle well in your stomach, but once you take protein shakes a lot your stomach gets use to it.

OK so about an hour before bed for my final meal. I hear a lot about protein shakes before bed - I'm not new to them by the way. The thing that confuses me is that a protein shake is usually 20 or more grams of protein. I used to try to get as much protein as possible. Now I am trying to keep my diet balanced with plenty of healthy carbs and fats too as I have read on here that this is the way forward. I am consuming a diet that is around 3300 cals a day split 48C 28P 24F. This works out at 200g protein a day which I have read is still a bit high for me at 187lb body weight. Everything I read on this forum says that protein on its own is useless so if I am to take protein this would need to be accompanied by fat and carbs and therefore would become a meal. Hence we are back where I started, do I have my last meal just before going to bed?

I usually plan my last meal depending on my calories for the day. I don't stop eating until I get all my calories in.

Well right now I am trying to add muscle and accept some fat will be included but if I can minimise this then that works. So what would you advise me to do. Some people say eating carbs late at night is bad as these are stored as fat. What's the answer?

its the amount of calories you consume during the day rather than the time at which you consume them. Therefore Id agree with bigstew. Just keep going until you have consumed your daily amount even if it is right up until you go to bed.
