Last Cut - 197lbs -

Not sure if I want to go to 190... might be too skinny.. but I would like to be at 5%!! I can't do it yet though.. so this time I think Ill bulk to 230 and cut to 200 or 195. Anyway here is the link http://rtest.shutterfly.com/ It scrolls through all my pictures, Ill put a relaxed pose on there so you can see the difference with how much thicker I am then the last cut.

So you weigh 197 now? Good stuff. So you bulk/cut 30 lbs. or so at a time huh? Interesting. Keep up the good work.

If you were 190 at 5% you would for sure have probably the most impressive physique on the board. RS is the leanest I have seen as of yet. I am jealous as hell. I hope to be somewhere in the ball park of where you are by Christmas of 2010

Couple things: #1 YOU BEAST! #2 Why is the album titled 2008-12-26? #3 SICK triceps in 50065034.JPG #4 Whaddaya MEAN, "too skinny" at 190?? Do I need to bust out some of my before pics to remind you what "skinny" really looks like? All you muscle mutts whining about how "skinny" you are with your dictionary pecs and 15+ inch biceps need to just stop it. I've seen your way-back-when pics, bro, and you forfeited your right to the "skinny" moniker when you crossed into 180 lb territory. #5 Still got the crazy wingspan, I see. #6 Run the trajectory by me again. If you bulked 30 and cut back to 197, where did you start the bulking phase?

I kept all my cutting pictures in the same album. The first cut was to 187 - 190lbs.. This cut was TO 197 lbs 12/08 was my first cut.. 6 months ago, after that I spent 4 months bulking to 220 then I cut from there. This time I will go to 230 and cut to 205 or 206lbs. Unless I want to cut down to 5% at 190 right now.. My arms were 17 1/4 at 220.. now they are only 16 1/2 :\ It's just weird watching them shrink, although they look better! lots of veins and definition! I wanted them to look like this at 17 inches though! so I will get them to 17 1/2

It's kinda weird how shutterfly works, it ask you to select the photo album then you chose the pictures you want to show, But I guess it titles it after the photo album. Anyway I noticed that also lol!

Not a beast man, just have the shape. It's not about the weight once you get to a moderate size.. It's all about the measurements and mainly the waist line! if you 30 inches or below your going to look like a beast regardless. If you like 5'10 and have a 28 inch waist at 185lbs your HUGE! all depends on body type also though. I am an ecto not alot of people can look like this at my height, my frame is tiny my waist can go down to 28 inches.

IBB is on roids. I vote to Ban his ass! But all joking aside, that's quite impressive. Your progress over the years here is outstanding. And from what I've know of you, it's a lot of hard nutritional work, dedicated training applied over time. No secrets. Just patience. Am I right? You make excellent points about the visual appearance, waist line, etc.

well I never lied when i used anything.. But genetics are a pain. If I hadn't done anything hormone related id look the same, but id only weigh probably around 180 right now. Which is still decent coming from a 150 lb frame. Yeah man, I don't have a life though to be honest, I don't drink when everyone else wants to.. well I do sometimes.. But not while I bulk "ever" I don't like missing meals My training so intense that no one wants to go to the gym with me. I squat like a mofo .. Honestly my family has watched me bust my ass these past 3 years. It's a marathon and I kept thinking like everyone else eat eat eat, lift big! eat eat! bulk bulk.. But when I had a 5'11 guy at 5% and a 165lbs make me look like crap.. it really made me think.. Is it his size that I want? No cause he is actually smaller then I.. It's his shape! He had a 28 inch waist and looked insane without a shirt. The secret is that waist line to be honest.. The cardio has to be progressed like you would with weight on the squats. I seen 5 - 6 people here that would look insane if they just cut from where they are, and if they could get past that between point where they start to feel skinny and are slightly ripped.. Keep going!! and you will feel bigger and ripped as opposed to skinny and ripped. With all that said I spoke to DR's and trainers and I will possibly never be a bodybuilder and without a doubt never be a natural bodybuilder. But there isn't anything wrong with that, there are fitness models that look loads better then body builders. Ectos can get lean as hell, James Dawson Martin and Cross thompson "who came on this forum before" Are insperations to me. Look them up on google and you will see what I am talking about.

But you need the fat to come along with it, not too much though! or your waisting your time. That's the problem people want too much too fast. I would say general rule gain 20 drop 10 - 15. But don't get obsessed with bulking

"With all that said I spoke to DR's and trainers and I will possibly never be a bodybuilder and without a doubt never be a natural bodybuilder." Not sure what you mean here but it raised my curiosity. Do you mean.. never be what's considered a bodybuilder in today's standards? What do you personally define as natural? Whatever you took/used was it legal? Or do you simply mean you took things that were legal but would be banned in most natural bodybuilding competitions? Did you have serious aspirations to become a full blown pro?

a straight ectomorph can't be a bodybuilder, atleast not at my height. Don't have the right frame for it. it's not a bad thing.. They just have lower genetic limitations. it's something I am willing to except. I did run a few cycles illegal. But not while cutting that was done all natural. If I had known 3 years back what I knew today I wouldn't have had to run any though! cause you can progress just as fast with increased rest time.. Take naps etc.. higher carbs and fats, squats etc.. In fact it's best when you start in your late teens to early 20's cause your natural test is up so high. I was told I actually hindered my natural development using illegal supplements when I was in my late teens / early 20's. Anyway what's done is done. But yeah marc if someone is just a straight up ectomorph. Hard gainer, they are not going to be going into any shows as a light heavy or heavy.. I mean they could but they wouldn't look as good on stage as they would in say a fitness show. The thing about ectos is, they can actually weigh 15lbs less then a bodybuilder with the same BF% and still look bulky. Says David drapper, that's one persons opinion though. I basically am saying work with what you got and don't rush it. Don't strive to look like anyone but an improved version of your self.

I could do a show but not be like pro or anything.. I can forget about being a super heavy weight it's just not in my limitations. It's going to take longer also. But I seriously doubt id be able to get a pro card out of it.

ecto/mesa endo meso meso/ecto ecto Twisted / Veg and my self fall into this ecto category. The joints, structure is too small to carry that much weight on the frame. But because of that is why you can get an illusion of looking bigger then you are. I look like a small version of my friend who is a endo/meso. Everyone says were both "buffeD" but he is a larger version of me. not as lean though. If you took us down to the bone you would see he is just a bigger person. Unfortunatly the way bodybuilding is they look as mass and the symetry. It sucks!! But I honestly rather be an ecto! it's easier to cut! We got perks I tell you!

IBBB, Honest confession of what you consider to be your past mistakes so others can avoid them is really cool, man! Thanks! There should be more guys like you. :) Could you tell me what body type you think I have? Whenever I encounter the terms ectomorph, mesomorph, and endomorph, I conclude that I am an ectomorph because I have never had a problem with weight. I can eat like a horse, including crappy food like candy and high-fat dairy, and not gain. But I have had steady progress over the past two years in gaining what I think is muscle mass. So am I an ecto, a meso, or perhaps a combo of the two. If I'm an ecto, you're saying I'm going to hit a wall at some point? Thanks!

Everyone hits a wall 'at some point', ectos simply hit that wall sooner because their frame is simply built for less size than an endo or meso. The downside of this is of course gaining takes long and is far more difficult. The upside is you can pretty much bulk indefinetly until you hit that wall (or at least with only 1 cut) and still not have to worry about having gained a load of fat at the end of it. Then once you do cut you will find it much easier and look much more ripped up than a meso or endo.

So am I an ecto, a meso, or perhaps a combo of the two. If I'm an ecto, you're saying I'm going to hit a wall at some point? Thanks! Well first off from late teens to very early 20's say 18 - 21 your not going to be able to tell because your body is still developing unless your discustingly skinny and you eat crap all the time.. Then your probably an ecto which was my case. I had bones showing everywhere even my spin through my back. If you have only worked out for 1 year and that's your starting frame then I am going to say your probably an ecto/meso or leaning more toward the meso side. Just increase your carbs and fats keep your protein at a moderate level. Slowly increase the amount of food you intake per week. Add more and more to the meals. When I was talking about bodybuilding I was basically talking about what marc put, Turn pro bull blown body builder.. It's just not going to happen for an ecto, But you can still get pretty damn big in 10 years! I mean I have personally only trained for a little over 3 years. My 4th and 5th I will look how I want. You know I had a real problem bulking, I don't have too much of a problem anymore. Increase the carbs and fats and add in extra nap time .. Like I sleep 8 hours + 40min on my lunch. Then 40 when I get home. Then eat then train. I don't have much of a life though :\ You actually have really good genetics JMBS

Very impressive physique IBB. I'd tell you, the great thing about you is that you know EXACTLY where you want to be in some future time (i.e. 240 bench by december, etc). I, myself, do not really know where will I be at this December, nor do I target myself.
5'8.1" Age = 20 started in February 16th 2007: 58kg (127.6lbs) current : around 79-80kg (173.8lb-176lb)
