I have been using L-carntine from ON for about a week and a half. Those of you looking for fat burners should give this a try i havent ever measured my body fat but i can see noticable differences especially a tighther mid section. Has anyone else been using this i take 2 tabs a day 20 mins before exercising for an energy boost each tablest is 500mg. I noticed my body temp rising a little you stay warm but not unconfortable unless you touch your forehead (it boosts your metabolism). If you would like better information regarding the benefits of cranitine please do take a look here. And if anyone else has tried and would like to share their experiences with it pls do go ahead.

Older supplement, Although it was originally touted as the amino acid that transported fat for energy use, there is very little if any research substantiating that claim. On average, people didn' t seem to notice a difference and it was canceled by a lot of bigger companies. It is very expensive to produce.

I guess youa re correct, it seems to be working for me...the only good thing i like about it is for example if your exercising your totally mentally into it it lets you concentrate on what your doing harder. Even if it is just watching tv i' ve noticed im 100% into it. As for the weight loss it could be the max ot or the diet and could also be the carnitine. As i said my body temp rises so im assuming it should be boosting my metabolism. There are a lotta possibilities but i would def say i do see a slight energy boost maybe its mentally related since your totally focused and concentrating on the weights. But i would recommend it, even if theres no validated scientific data.

Except you listed a lot of factors that may be influencing weight loss and concentration. Not just this supplement.

Exercise in itself is going to make some changes to your body.. major ones. That will increase your concentration and energy levels. You feel warm because your metabolism is changing.

Energy boost could easily come from your diet, the new routine and the interest in fitness now that you seem to be motivated (this forum Smile and other factors).

But let me tell you. Placebo or not.. if you feel this works for you, and you feel more motivated to hit the weights and continue in the gym then cool. Much like me and my Nitroxide supplements, there' s little science behind that either. But it makes me feel good and then I workout harder which does have evidence behind it to show that it works. Intensity.

If you workout harder, and you like what you are seeing, then great. Maybe it is working for you. I don' t think any studies proved it didn' t work, they just didn' t show enough proof-positive that it did. But that doesn' t mean it cannot.

I noticed when I took SportPharma Thermadrene-XP, I had a huge noticible difference in my concentration levels. So I can agree with you on that.. It is kinda neat.

Good thread nonetheless. I had forgotten about it like you said.

ALCAR (acetly-L-carnatine) has many positive uses, but its expensive as high doses (1-3 grams per day) are necessary.
