Kub's journey back to the gym! - Tuesday, August 18, 2009 2:09 PM ( #1 )
so, uh.........ya

thats the only excuse i have for gettin lazy.  i have not been in the gym liftin like i was for probably 4 months

today i got back in the gym and did something similar to cross fit and almost died.  puked right when i got back home even.  right now i feel great and glad that i went to the gym finally.  i am going to give this Spartan Workout a shot...http://www.300spartanwo...202kw=spartan%20workout.

main reason is to get myself back into shape, not only muscular wise but cardio as well.  i have gained some weight and its not the kind of weight i wanted to gain while i was training before.  some of you remember how hard it was for me to keep over 200lbs, but now i am and dont like it LOL.  its not the 200lbs that i want.  i need to slim down quite a bit and the eat tons and pack on the weight that i want.

i was lookin back on the beginning pages of this journal, pictures even and hope that i can get back like that and even better.  gonna be a very painful first few weeks for sure >.<  ya'll know that i can handle the pain though!! lol

what i did today was cut this workout in half and only did 25 reps of each exercise.  i SERIOUSLY got a workout.  i will do it with 25 reps for first few weeks then go to 50 reps.  will be doing this workout 3 days a week and doing cardio/body lifts/kettle workouts.  not going to get into anything heavy for a while.  that's not my goal right now, but is getting in shape to where im not panting just walking up a hill LOL.

anyways, IM BACK and look forward to any challenges Chalky or Seo throw my way. BRING IT!!!

Good to have you back!  I'm sure you can dedicate yourself and accomplish what you had before and then continue far past it.  You in utah valley now?

That's cool, I moved down by where you used to live not far from centerville in bountiful atleast I think that is close.  When you come back and are ready to lift heavy we should go to spanish fork and lift with those guys, they do a heavy bench at 1130 every saturday.  I went last week there was about 8 of us split onto 2 benches.  Lots of fun and help with motivation, I pressed 420 on reverse band with the green bands after I failed it once.  I think you would enjoy it and it would help keep you going.

haha, not right now. not for a bit actually.  i dont wanna any kind of cycle to go to waste so will wait till heavy pullin again if run any kind of cycle again.

todays workout was a fail >.<

start time-1915
25 pull ups
50 deads
50 floor-sweepers
50 db clean/press @ one arm each
50 push-ups
25 box jumpers---this is where i couldnt take it anymore.  i actually failed on the 25th rep slipping off the edge barely catching on my toes.  this was supposed to be 50 reps as well.  was supposed to finish off with another set of 25 pullups, but seriously couldnt get myself to do them.  i could barely get up the stairs to leave.
finish time-1950

--im just glad that i moved up the reps to 50 earlier than expected.  the exercise that kills most is the last set of pullups at end, floor sweepers and the box jumpers.
