Knee Problem - Thursday, December 01, 2005 4:23 PM ( #1 )
Today in gym I was doin jump boxes on the smallest boxes we have to save energy for my post-school workout. We were doin these lateral ones and I landed then all the sudden my knee hurt for a sec.

But after awhile i noticed nothing and squated down to see if it hurt (the common thing i to do test if i can still lift). And it did hurt like at first pretty bad. Like on a scale from 1 to 10 it hurt like 7 then after about 2 hours I tried it again and it only hurt like a 4 then again when I got home after 3 times icing it only hurt like a 1 or 2.

I went to the trainer to talk to him and he said its fine at the most I just twisted my knee. But he said more then likely and inflamed tendon. So he told me to ice it and **** to make it uninflamed. So I have since i got home iced it again for a 4th time and it still deosnt feel that bad at all.

But my question is whether u all think I should lift tmw.  Its my squat day and I really dont wanna miss a workout so that I can get strong. So do u guys think that even if I wake up tmw morning and it feels good I should squat.....or do u think I should take the day off regardless?

Help is greatly appreciated

O and another thing.....will me takin this one day off drop my squat weight?

Thanx in advance

What worries me is that Ill get weaker. I squatted once this week already and Im not sure if i'll lose strength (which would be gay for my training).

Since I squatted once this week will I not get weak?

Since my knee got better and it feels pretty decent should it be healed by tuesday the next time I squat if I take it easy and ice it?

hey iron
you are not gonna lose all your strength from missin one workout
chill out take a day or two off
you may actually need this time off to grow more and stronger at that
remember the body grows and repairs when it is at rest
take it easy and try to let it go
i had a knee injury in the 9th grade in a PL meet
i have never been the same
i never took the time off
my coaches said it was nothin(shows what ms has goin for its sports programs)
so i say take that day or so off
you will not regret it
If weightlifting was easy, everyone would do it

You gotta lift BIG, to get BIG

Doesn't matter how much you lift but how you lift it
