Joining the Gym with my middleschool buddy
-
Tuesday, August 02, 2005 11:56 PM
Well college has totally taken the toll on me. im sure that most of us have heard of the freshman 15, this fall will be my junior year and ive notice that i have become extremely lazy and my body has done some "transformation." I now have a beer belly and my pecs are soft and not as firm as they used to be. This is a total change since i was very active during my high school days (cross country, track, tae kwon do, etc). Anyhow, so after 2 years of being an inactive potato, i wanted to turn things around. My buddy has been talkin me into joining a new gym that has just opened near us, and i am ready to go for it. Just a little background on my buddy, i have known him since the 6th grade, in highschool he was totally into bodybuiling (we both joined the weight club), he was in wrestling and football, and i totally trust him. now here is the REAL question. We plan on joinin together in about 2 weeks, and recently he has bought a few supplements: BSN Nitrix, 3 Bottle Special Optimum 100% Whey, Chocolate, 10 lbs Higher Power Micronized Creatine, 1000 Grams Higher Power L-Glutamine, 1000grams/powder I was actually wondering a few things. Are these safe for me (a newbie to bodybuilding) to take together, how long will the supply that he bought last, and is there anything that i should be cautious of. thanks (sorry for the long post)

Thanks for the reply Bigmike, and even more thanks for the info. i am totally stoked about getting in better shape. I have been considering a few personal goals for myself and i hope you guys could tell me if my goal is realistic and an estimation of how long it would take me. I consider myself short at 5'10" and find that being too buff (such as vin diesel) would not suit my height. so, i have set my goal to have a physic more balanced/toned such as Chris Evans (Human Torch from the Fantastic 4 movie). i hope i can do it... thanks again
