No cutting related sups. Just whey, a multivitamin, and creatine monohydrate.

great work, you can really see width and inches gained especially in lats and legs which most guys have hard time with. Linda

LOL, lats and legs (and glutes) are the only places I gain. Actually, a lot of people comment that my shoulders have gained, but I think that has more to do with my improved posture.

OK, I just took some measurements, so I can say pretty conclusively that the short 8-week bulk was actually a modest success... Since my last set of pictures up-thread, there's been about 8 weeks of bulking followed by 6 weeks of cutting. I'm about 1-2 pounds heavier in the new pics. Over that whole span, I've gained about 1/4" on each arm (a tad more on the left, which is catching up), a solid 1/2" on my chest and my waist is 1/2" smaller. That works out to be a net gain of 4-5 pounds of muscle, and a loss of 3 or so pounds of fat. @twisted: I don't have a specific body fat goal... Mostly to keep fat gains to a minimum. I don't really trust my body fat measures very much. According to the calipers, I'm at about 9.4%. I don't think I'm that low - my abs aren't really visible (just starting to come in, maybe). I think it's probably more like 11-12%. Circumference measurements say I'm down to 7.6%, which is just silly. Mostly I just keep an eye on what my waist measurement is doing. I would feel uncomfortable if I let that get above, say, 33-34" -- it's exactly 31" right now.

It's so frustrating seeing my legs and upper body together in the same picture. How can I be that unbalanced? The sad part is that my chest has actually improved in recent months - it used to be worse.

The sad part is that my chest has actually improved in recent months - it used to be worse. You know your legs could actually get alot bigger... I was just looking back through again. They do match your whole body they just lack the body fat that you are carrying. See my legs hold the body fat I carry.. My upper body lacks the body fat. I will take some leg shots for you. "Mine are not so good" Then again I could probably see them better if I wasn't so harry.

My legs are pretty hairy, which is weird because my upper body is almost hairless. It's like all the testosterone pools in my legs and nowhere else.

The sad part is that my chest has actually improved in recent months - it used to be worse. Try this out, it helped out my chest in losing that "flab" look. Go on a machine, at my gym it's not labeled, but it's basically an incline chest press. Go up halfway, then back to starting then full range of motion, count that as one rep. On the last rep of every set hold both the halfway motion and full motion for 5 seconds and squeeze hard. Worked wonders for me and two guys I used to train with.

I work out at home, so I don't have access to machines, but I'll give that a try when I'm doing incline chest presses when I rework my routine in the next couple weeks.

NICE!! YOUR LOOKING GOOD DON'T STOP BULKING YOU STILL HAVE A WAYS TO GO!!! Can't be affraid to get fat because your no where near fat . Keep building that clay, I would say you have about 40% of the clay that you need to work with. Put on another 15 lbs !! Then do a cut and watch the amazing transformation you will have.

One last thing! I would have to say if you don't win this competition that is going on for transformations your still the winner in my eyes because I honestly think you beat everyone You made the most noticable progress in my eyes. 110percent did a good job too though. Do not cut from where you are now though Jheft, it would be a total waist since you haven't put on enough bulk yet. You would basically just go back down to damn near exactly what you looked like in the first picture. Do not be affraid to put on another 10 - 15lbs.

Yeah, I'm gonna keep bulking. My goal for this bulk is still 200 pounds. I'm taking this week off, cause I'm burned out right now, but I'll be back at it soon.

you've done an incredible job in a short period of time.. going back and looking at your pictures that were taken early in 2007, it doesn't even look like the same body.. You should really be proud of yourself.. nice job!
