You run a lot faster than me. How long does it take you to do 1.5 miles?

I dunno Bobbi. Even tho the time is right in front of me I only look at the distance and speed. I will pay attention tomorrow and let ya know.

I normally start @ 7 then 8 then 9. Most of the time I keep it at 8 mph.

I am going to do this--->http://www.sandiegomudrun.com/
the 10k
as an individual.
last time I did this in October my time was 1:28

Did back today. It was a great feeling!
Elliptical 20 mins<----I am liking this thing.

I ran 1.5 miles in 11:56 at 7/8mph. Most of the time @ 8-the faster I go the sooner I finish.
I also walked @ 4mph for .25 miles.

RE: J's journal for DB contest - Thursday, February 21, 2008 8:06 PM
Diet was good.

I was feeling blah again.  I did not do any cardio. I only did legs.

Deadlifts- 50lbs <-----I know I can lift more than 50 pds.
Lunges w/2  20 pound dumbells
Leg press--270 lbs
Leg extensions 40 lbs I think?
I walked for 5 mins @4mph.

Arms are not my favorite. Legs are my new favorite! I am starting to wear dresses/skirts. My legs do not look like thick tree trunks anymore.

I think it is finally sinking in that I am not a big ole fatty.
I wish I could realize it faster. I still see myself fat most of the time. ENUFF--I just wanted to vent a little about that.

I was going to do some kickboxing/muay tai. I forgot my backpack with all my stuff tho. It is a nice break tho.

Maybe tomorrow.

RE: J's journal for DB contest - Sunday, February 24, 2008 7:53 PM
Took the week-end day off. Bought food for the week. I am going to eat a lot of fish this week. I bought some salmon/spinach/chicken breast. I am gonna eat oatmeal and protein powder for breakfast. I am getting sick of the eggs. I also need to increase fiber. So, I know that oatmeal and flaxmeal will do it.  I wanted to work out on Sat but there was a parade downtown and it blocked several blocks.

This week I am still gonna do a lot of cardio and weights. I am getting comfortable with the weights and moving them around.

2 miles 7/8 mph
leg work today.

feeling better today. My legs are killing me. I was kinda mad today so I used that to work hard at gym.

still have not gone to the kickboxing. I am really getting into the weights and cardio.

Don't forget your kickboxing if it's something you enjoy doing. Trying to find a balance between it all can be tough, but it's worth it to keep group activities for training in your program. Otherwise you may burn out lifting and doing cardio alone all of the time. But that's just how I feel about it.

meals were great!
I had about a gallon of water today.
no coffee!!! so proud of me.
did have some green tea

bag work and some dumbells. Back w/dumbells
push ups with a medicine ball-alternating
diamond push ups
one leg push ups
sprints/jump rope

The sprints are super hard to do. I can run/sprint on the treadmill like nothing. Once I am outside it is challenging. I would like to do my cardio outside since the weather is nice in the evening.

diet was good today. I had a lot of water. Approx 3 liters
fish oil/green tea/vitamin.

Today I did kickboxing. It was an intense cardio. We did
A BUNCH of sprints. A lot of bag work/jump rope.

I also worked on legs today.
Leg press-270 lbs 3 sets of 8
leg extensions
lunges w/ dumbells
squats with dumbells.

NOW...I thougt I was the S*** because I also did deadlifts 3 sets of 8. I did 90 lbs. I was proud. So then I tell my trainer girlfriend about it and she says "that's nothing I can do more weight and so can you."

I hate being challenged because now I am have to do better
