17 y/o 165 lbs 5'11'' i play hockey for my school until the end of feb., so until then it will be really hard to get myself on a good schedule like I did during the summer of 08. with hockey, i practice 3 times a week + games with also 3 dryland workouts per week (which include plyometrics, pushups, situps, conditioning, and leg workout). i currently am going to try to follow the following routine as best as i can until hockey is over, and i have time to get into the gym everyday, with some rest of course. day 1 - chest/shoulders day 2- tri's/abs day 3- back/bi's REPEAT (shoot for 3 sets of 10 on every exercise) 3 exercises per muscle (after hockey ends I will most likely add a leg day to the workout. i will do the same thing i do right now. squats (non weight-bearing), jump squats, lunges, wall-sits, etc.) bench - 165 lbs. (terrible, i know) 1st goal - 185 lbs. 2nd goal - 200 lbs. (big one) please comment, it helps me out, with anything it may be.

1/13/09 chest- flatt BB Bench 135lbs 5x (shoulder bothering me, rotator cuff problems) db press flat 50lbs cable crossovers 60lbs machine flies 100lbs *just trying to get back into the swing of things, chest is already sore, working my way into it so i do not hurt anything. didnt do shoulders, rotator cuff bothering

Good luck with your lifting and hockey, but where is the leg work?

connelly- I do a leg workout every practice I have for hockey, we are on the ice skating and then we get off the ice into workout atire and do plyo's for a good 45min to an hour.

As good of exercise as i'm sure that is, it is completely different from lifting. You really should try and fit some lower body lifting in your routine.
