Its nearing a month that Ive had this pulled neck/right trap - Sunday, September 20, 2009 8:39 PM ( #1 )
It happened when I was deadlifting. I made a post about 3 weeks ago asking if it was possible to get a brain aneurysm by deadlifting, because I thought thats what happened. I had an MRI and didnt have a BA, but it is my neck and right trap that turned out to be damaged days after the event. I hoisted heavy weight while deadlifting and forgot to breathe on a rep, and so much pressure built up in my head/neck that some sort of blood vessel burst in my nose and ever since then, my head also feels a lot of tension when I point my head downward like to pick something up or something.

My neck has the most trouble bending backward, as if to look up at the sky but it also hurts when turning either left or right. Ive been icing/resting it, popping ibuprofen and fish oil,  and its still not gone. Not necessarily getting worse, but still not better. Its still pulled, and Ive even gotten a professional massage that just made it better for like half an hour, then it went back. Also went to the doctor and since Kaiser sucks, they didnt do much but tell me to rest and give it its due time.

Anybody ever pulled a neck muscle that took months to heal? Im beginning to get worried that my head will permanently feel this tension whenever lifting or pointing my head downward, and that the crick in my neck wont go away.

OH yea, I also have a lot of pinched nerves running through my forearm to my right tricep and even to my right lat. It doesnt always feel pinched, but it comes off and on and is clearly a result of my pulled muscle.
