Isopure - Wednesday, April 28, 2004 10:46 PM
Anyone tried Isopure, the bottled drink you can buy from GNC that looks like koolaide?

Its got 0g's of everything, and 40g's of protein, looks great... except that its $3.50 per bottle.

Just wanted to get anyones input about it, I really would like to try it.

Thanks

I've never tried the pre-mixed Isopure but I have a bottle of the Vanilla Isopure powder. It's high in sodium for a protein powder but no carbs, no cholesterol which is nice. Also, 50g protein for 2 scoops is good. The Vanilla mixes well with orange juice and strawberries. I have one of those shakes in the morning.

I've had one of them, they taste pretty good...nice alternative to a shake every now and then..If you go online, you can find them much cheaper (I think I read a case at 1.75/bottle).

Sure do...

DPS Nutrition

Though, either they raised they're prices, or I just read it wrong...breaks down to about 3.00/bottle...eh, not as cheap as I initially thought...but this site's a good one...used to order my Xenedrine from it...fast shipping...

The ones I'm interested in are the 7.5lb zero carb. Personally, I order the Vanilla flavor.

NOTE: the 8.8lb. Isopure (which has 28 grams of carbs per serving) may appear to be a better deal as it clearly has more (though I understand that's not one of the ones your referring to, kris), but it's a bit of an illusion. The 8.8lb. serving is 3 scoops/50gram serving, and has about 46 servings.

Each serving contains: Calories 300 Calories from Fat 0 Total Fat 0 g Saturated Fat 0 g Cholesterol 10 mg Sodium 320 mg Potassium 750 mg Total Carbohydrate 25 g Dietary Fiber 0 g Sugars 1 g Protein 50 g

Then you have the 7.5lb. Zero Carb Protein. This one has just 2 scoops per 50 gram serving. This container has 55 servings. Clearly a better deal in my opinion. Not only that it's 200 calories less, so you can apply that amount to complex carbs. Check the stats below:

Each serving contains: Calories 200 Calories from Fat 0 Total Fat 0 g Saturated Fat 0 g Cholesterol 5 mg Sodium 320 mg Potassium 750 mg Total Carbohydrate 0 g Dietary Fiber 0 g Sugars 0 g Protein 50 g
