You don't always need to take the full scoop.  Sometimes you are better off taking a cheaper supp with the more expensive.  Cheap generic protein can be used as a filler.  Half a scoop of good stuff and half a scoop of cheap stuff.  Any place you can save some supp money is important, 'cause you never know when that next big thing comes out that you will want to buy.

Consider Mega Shake by Dymatize. It's nearly identical in all regards and the flavors are pretty good as well (IMO, they're not quite as good as MM but this is a huge selling point for MM so not much is). In the 2lb tubs, it's the same price, but they have 5lb tubs as 10lb bags whereas MM doesn't and obviously, the larger you go, the more you save. Hope this helps.
