Some morph jobs are easier to spot than others.

For instance, when I do it, I take the extra step to revert the background. That is, when you liquify an image and disfigure the subject, invariably, you disfigure the background near the subject too. It's harder to spot on foliage, but it sticks out like a sore thumb on harder, linear background material. The best way to describe this is to compare a successful morph with a sloppy one. The attached image shows (from left to right) before, sloppy morph, and cleaned-up background.

And of course, the more legitimate muscle mass and definition the subject has, the easier it is to morph them believably.
