that just means you have worked a lot of muscle tissue so your arm is telling you to dont work that arm because we are still fixing the damage inother words your muscles r getting bigger :)

no, it doesnt.. soreness is no indicator of growth. its basically  just fatigued fibres.

a person who overtrains may still get soreness for the next few days, but he/she will not be growning, overtraining can even eventually lead to loss of muscle mass. so dont try to work a muscle until its sore, because its no indication of a good workout.

After a while the soreness will be less and less even if you hit the gym hard. Just don't over train, as long as you're not over training and you're eating right and getting enough rest you don't need to pay any attention to "the burn" or soreness afterwards. If you don't feel sore it does not mean you didn't work that area good enough.

yea cuz the soreness goes away a day after working out which i think is sufficient resting for the muscle being worked out

Muscles need more then a days rest. Like I said, soreness is not an indicator of muscle repair. Usually between 3-6 days rest is needed.

If this was your first time working out ever-get ready to be sore for up to a week
If this was your first time working out since a few months or years back-same deal really, maybe not quite as bad.

Soreness happens to pretty near 100% of new people when working out properly.
As other members have said the soreness decreases as your body gets used to the workouts.

I wouldnt worry about soreness to be honest, work out until youre rather weak, but not collpasing over the place lol.

Yeah its normal dont worry to much about it. Like they said as you progress you will feel less and less sore. just because you dont feel sore doesnt mean you didnt get a productive workout. As you progress you will have to inrease intensity by either shorter resting periods, forced reps, etc. Just be careful not to overtrain and keep at it Smile
