Hey everybody! I've been working out (weight lifting) for years. I enjoy the fruit of my labor and have quite a competitive streak. The last couple of years I've thought about entering a figure competition, though I must admit I know little to nothing about it - just what I read in Iron Man. Sooo ... I have a lot of work to do in order to figure out if competing is for me. I work so hard and I'd love to have something to show for it (other than the health and fitness I already enjoy), but before I even begin to do research, I was hoping to have a couple of questions answered here by someone with more experience. First off, how old is too old? I'm already 35 years old (which is part of what has held me back). I wonder if I've discovered my passion too late in life to do anything with it? Also, I hear a lot about dehydration as part of prep for a show. I'm opposed to that (primarily because I'm a type I diabetic). Do figure competitors dehydrate themselves for competition? Sherry
