I have been on a cutting diet for the last couple weeks now, I have lost some fat. But, I'm wondering if I doing too much cardio because I have been having pains in my legs (around my quads and knees) when I do my leg weight training. Should I cut back on my cardio?

I do about 5-6 days a week for about 30-40 minutes, sometimes I usually do cardio after my weight training. Also, I do my cardio early in the morning.

I do cardio every day first thing in the mourning except for sundays (my relax day). And its been working great for me. Keep in mind also that i comptively run long distance in the  summer/fall, so im kind of used to it. If you feel like its too much then gradualy work into it

Because, lately, I have been aches and pains in my quads, and plus around my glutes as well. They feel as if they are sore. Maybe I'm overtraining.

Take a couple days off, rest up good. Sleep well, then when you return the pains should be gone and you feel when you start running etc like you could go so much better. When I get pains I just rest up and get a nice early nights rest/sleep in. I cardio as often as you, maybe more. Another thing I do if alittle stiff/sore is I swim laps at the pool, that helps with pains while doing cardio at the same time.

Definetly rest up. I started my 6-day program last week (both anerobic and aerobic) and my triceps went hurting on me. Iv'e been taking a couple days off and am going to start half-way into the program again today. I love it. Cardio every day for at 20-30 mins, except your restday.

Yep!... On the side note make sure your nutrition is in check!... IMO when you get back to doing cardio, do it up to 6 days a week... Make sure you have at least one rest day a week from cardio and weightlifting! 2 is even better if you can afford it!

Good Luck! Smile
