Is this good for me or no?
-
Tuesday, September 30, 2008 4:27 PM
I've been doing this for about a month now, and not really seeing anything great. While I know it's way too soon to see major differences the only results I've seen is getting i little more cut and some gains in strength. Does this look good to you guys, or should I change it up??? Also, I add more weight to every set. http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a313/brucegagneaux/se5y-1.jpg Sorry if it's small guys...photobucket is being homo.

I assume you're new to weight lifting For the begginer-intemediate lifter it is recommended to follow a fullbody routine example Workout A Squat 3x5 or 2x10 OH press 3x5 or 2x10 Deadlift 1x5 or 1x10 Pull ups 3x5 or 2x10 Workout B Squat 3x5 or 2x10 Bench press 3x5 or 2x10 Power clean 3x5 or 2x10 Rows 3x5 or 2x10 Training on 3 non-consecutive days, alternating A and B Eating is key element in building muscle, if you're not eating excess calories, you WILL NOT get bigger Progress in weights, make small increases every workout (5-10lbs) Although you're routine looks solid, just a few changes here and there (specially in the exercises order), I think you're better off with a full body routine One question though, does it says 20steps/sec next to lunges? Not even Usain Bolt does that lol
Squat max - 245lbs Bench max - 188lbs Deadlift max - ¿? Front Squats(atg)- 5x165lbs

Then don't eat like a mad man, control your food consumption Doing heavy compounds will make you burn calories If you have a 50m long track, you can make sprints for 10 minutes on off days. Run 50m, then jog back to where you started, run again and so on for 10 minutes Also, doing tons of ab exercise WILL NOT help you to get rid of the fat in the stomach area. 2 sets of crunches at the end of every workout is plenty Eat healthy, lots of greens and quality food

Over the last month I have definitely lost weight. I can tell by how my pants and shorts fit and just by looking. So should I just keep this routine for another month and see how things are looking before judging it too soon? I am def starting to tone up, just not getting bigger because of the amount of cardio I do. After I lose about 10 more pounds then I'd like to start bulking up.

It's up to you man Bodybuilding is also about finding what work best for you I say keep your routine for 2 months and then do a full body (not necessarily the one I posted) routine for 2 months and compare your gains with each
