Is my arm routine too much? - Thursday, August 21, 2008 8:35 PM ( #1 )
I was wondering if you guys think this would be a good arm workout or if it could be over training?

Every exercise is 3 sets of 6-8 (9 if i can do that last rep) reps

and every bicep exercise is supersetted with a tricep exercise

Ez bar curls/kickbacks
Hammer Curls/ Over head tricep extension
Dumbell curls/weighted dips(25 reps)
incline dumbell curls/ skull crushers
concentration curls/ close grip bench press


Also should i do my forearms in the workout to or in another one?Also what exercises for my forearms are really good?

this is just my arm workout. I do a 4 day split.

yes

Arm muscles are relatively small, so if you are not in an advanced level of training anything more than 12 sets per muscle is too much, even 12 is a lot but still manageable (sp?)

I'd suggest cutting 2 exercises for each muscle, and keep the same number of sets per exercise so you have 9 sets total for each muscle

heres an arm workout that will kick your ass:

Close grip bench
Dips
Pushdowns superset w/curls
Chin Ups
Preacher Bench Isometric Hold
straight bar curls
