Info on the AB-Swing - Sunday, January 04, 2004 3:47 AM ( #1 )
Hi guys I am writing this post as a warning for people here who watch those lame informercials about the AB-Swing.

The informerials usually show people with ripped abs using the equipment which obviously tries to give the impression by using this machine solely can get results like this, if the models got abs like that from the machine only God knows how they did it.

Anyway I had my AB-Swing "experience" at a mates place who had recieved the gift as a Chrissy pressie so I wasn't able to give him ample warning about the crummy stuff they sell on T.V. Personally I have never believed in buying gimmic machines from the T.V.

Well he asked me to try it out, so I got on the machine and started 'exercising' *laugh*, I did a set of ten on the maximum resistance setting with basically no feeling at all! I then did 25 and had just a very meager amount of tension in my abdominal area. Strangely enough I actually felt my quads being very sore after completing the exercise. The next day I was given another surprise from the AB-Swing: lower back pain! So not only does this machine not offer any improvements it actually has some negative effects.

So for anyone who is considering buying the machine save your $300 and some lower back pain and do some good old crunches!

PS There is a similar machine around called the AB-Doer, the guy that invented it is named John Abdo *laugh*, what are the chances of that.

Thanks for the tip..

So much of that is pure hype and B.S. Just there to make people rich. When in fact you can do exactly what you said, a good set of crunches and get 10X more benefit with less risk. If it's soooo easy to do.. then you probably won't get the results. And you hit the nail, none of those models ever got that way just by using some machine.

Save the money, do the crunches and that will get you a rock hard stomach. Then diet.. and that will get your abs showing up nicely.

Ever notice how they tell you these machines can get you the abs you always wanted, but they never mention diet. You could use that AB-Swing till you passed out. Maybe someday your stomach would be stronger but the abs would never show as you never really properly dieted to get the low percentage of body fat so they would.

So much mis-leading info out there.

Here here!!! You still have to lose the fat to get abs, and the good olllld sit ups, leg lifts, and crunches have never done me wrong.
