With all the different programs out there that come and go, the 5x5 with all it's variations seems to have stood the test of time as far as being effective.  Either a strict Powerlifting routine, or incorporating it into your Bodybuilding routine... the very simple method produces big time strength increases.  I am currently doing something along the lines of the third link down, but don't think of this method as easy... because it's not!!  It's very, very hard, even though you aren't really training to falure all the time.  Here's a bunch of links that might help someone decide on how to apply it to their own training... my head is already spiining when thinking about how much weight i could be lifting in the next four months or so.  Happy Lifting Smile

Very cool four-day Bodybuilding routine incorporating the 5x5… the explanation is great here, especially about how to avoid the plateaus.  Similar discussion... http://www.steroidology.com/forum/showthread.php?t=661
