Im feeling way to much pain - Tuesday, August 05, 2008 11:46 AM ( #1 )
Ok so i think it was 2 weeks ago i was deadlifting with a hex bar and i was doing it with my buddy in the weightroom at school because we are getting ready for another year of football with the team...and we had i think it was atleast 270lbs and we were deadlifting that for 5 reppitions...i did it fine then once i let go of the bar i felt a really bad pain in my chest right where my heart is my parents and coach both think i pulled a muscle but idk what muscle it is or if there is even a muscle down far enough because it certainly isnt my pectoral it is below that where my rib cage is....any ideas what it could be and how long i should wait till i can start lifting the way i was before this?

pulled or not have it checked by a doctor its nothing to mess around with especially when its near the heart

i ended up having a birth defect that struck many kids dead in the past and had pains like that

not saying thats you but its still good to have it checked

That happened to me but when i was doing upright rows.Is it a sharp pain that kinda follows through one rib all the was around to where it connects to ur back?? It happined to me a few weeks back and i got it checked withen a few mins of it happening and it turned out i tore a ligament there, might not be wat happened to u but sounds simular to what happened to me! Just take a few days off lifting and i dont know if u do a contact sport but if you are stay outa that for about 2 weeks!
