These always seems to be some left-over wine here and there, not enough for a glass even. Rather than throwing it out, freeze it in an ice-cube tray! Why? Because the next time you need a little wine in a dish, you just add the "wine-cube" and presto, wine taste in the dish without opening a new bottle!

I have known of this trick for years, but always forget to do it User Posted Image Now I have such a tiny kitchen that the fridge/ freezer is almost in the way, and for the first time I've poured the left over of a not-very-good wine into 4 ice cube compartments. Next time I fry up some onions to make a gravy, I'll just throw a cube in with the water and have a nice "gravy" for the steaks.

This works for red and white wines by the way, and any other little leftover drop of other things too
