i dont go by a strict plan or diet or specifics...just every time u eat, think PROTEIN and CARBS...like chicken breast and potatoe......i usually follow that plan when i eat out...and after every workout...drink a protein shake...bfast is a BIG meal so never miss it...eat often but in moderation....and lift heavy!! much luck!

ORIGINAL: Devonte Formula? Before you can determine how much you should consume per day, you need to determine how much you burn each day through a combination of RMR (Resting Metabolic Rate) and exercise. That will give you a baseline to judge your caloric needs. From there you can adjust your diet, your exercises or both to hit the goal that you want. The link that Nick posted will help you do that. Yeah, the whole key is sticking with it. All you need is a rough estimate to start. Then monitor lots of variables like weight, Body fat %, strength, or even just how you body feels, and then make adjustments... I wish I had had all this information when I was 18 and started lifting. 5 years later I've made some decent gains but not near what I would have if I would have known about all the correct nutrition habits in college.
