 I have no squat rack but i got a smith machine!

I have no squat rack but i got a smith machine! - Monday, June 30, 2008 2:43 PM
i can do up to 135 by just pressing the weight up and seting it on my shoulders i know its dangerous. But i am starting the hst again should i try and find a squat rack or is the smith fine?

If the smith is all you have use the smith but it's not to hard to build your own squat rack for less that $50.

I think it would do you fine.

current : around 78-79kg (171.6lb-173.8lb)

I don't train body parts these days... I train basic compound exercises...

That's all we have at our gym. I wished he had a squat rack or another smith. Kind of sucks when one guy is benching through your entire leg day and you miss the main exercise that you wanted in the first place.

I saw a thread where a guy built a squat rack for 14 dollars. Looked really crude, but held 480ish lbs I think? Over 400.
