There is no evidence the newer ones are better, safer, or more effective. Creatine monohydrate is what you want.

Loading isn't required. It just gets your the concentration of creatine in your body to an elevated level sooner, but you don't have to do it. Since it's about creating an elevated level of creatine in your system, other forms of creatine would need loading just as much as monohydrate.

Also, it's not a diuretic, so unless you're drinking more water than you need, you won't have to go to the bathroom more often.

i DON'T KNOW MOST PEOPLE ARE JUST AFRAID OF WHAT THEY DON'T KNOW. I went to the doctor a couple days ago and she was like you are really overweight for your height... I was like thanks but can't you see i'm not fat i just have a big frame and muscle.. then she went in to telling me how protein and creatine are bad for you and i am not smart for wanting to get bigger. I left and on the way out told her that she should maybe do some research before giving out wrong info like that. just venting a little

Personally, I don't blame your dad. Not that I see anything wrong with creatine, but I don't believe supplements should be used before 18.
