I hate the scale! - Thursday, July 22, 2004 7:08 AM ( #1 )
I was so ready to get on the scale this morning. I was expecting good news for the first time in a few weeks, since gaining a couple pounds when my friends were in town. Nothing! I have been playing with a pound since they left and this week, after a decent week of eating and a full plate of cardio - I am back up to where I was when they left!

ARGH!!!

OK, so I will commit to eating 100% clean this week and the freaking scale better move! I don't want to be tempted to go back to low carb...I would miss my morning oatmeal and fruit....

I'm off to find my tape measure, to see if that can give me some good news.

Don't be too hard on yourself-
Anyone who thinks Jenng's slipping in the weight loss department- Inluding Jenng herself- Needs to take another look at these pics. Jenn, I think you should eat some good carbs for some energy, perform a couple of shoulder rotations to warm up the muscles, and spend the next ten minutes patting yourself on the back. You kick ass.

It's ok to have those few times where you think your slipping away. It just boosts your motivation and makes sure you're not slacking off. Keep at it. Try not to go into low carb diets since low carb diets are mostly pre comp. Its just something you do to get rid of a few extra pounds quickly before a competition. I wouldnt recommend it if you want to keep the weigfht off for good, because once you stop a low carb diet, your body yearns for carbs and will store whatever it can.
