This seems to be my weakpoint. I am doing alot of bench pressing, swimming with butterfly etc... its just not getting stronger at a rate that it should be. What are some suggestions on how to get my chest strength up?

What "rate" is this?

How long have you been working out for?

Well if you just do is the bench, thats not too much work for your chest at all.  That once a week is not enough, you need to add much more excersizes.

Give this a try.

*All percentages based on one rep max.
Bench Press
20%X8 for 1 set.......Warm up shoulders
30%X12 for 3 sets
40%X12 for 2 sets
- this may feel easy at first, but by the end, you'll be done.

Seated Rows

30%X15 for 4 sets

Butterfly flat dumbell press..... lay down on the bench and move ur arms up and down... like a bear hug.... stoping when weight touches  at the top and when your hands are level with shoulder, elbows can bend at 45 degree angle for the entire cycle.

10%X10 for 2 sets
20%X10 for 2 sets
40%X6-8 for 1-2 sets

Do this 2-3 times a week with atleast a 2 day rest between each lift, trust me, for 4 weeks

Age 18
Height 5' 9"
Weight 160
Bench 190
