Ok I am a 31 year old male, I am right under 5ft10. I weigh 203lbs, I was 240lbs, I been working out a little over 3 months now doing Cardio and weight lifting.

Mon  Upperbody with Cardio

Tue  Lowerbody with Cardio

Wed  Just Cardio

Thur Upperbody with Cardio

Friday  Squats and Cardio

Sat (At my Dads) Upperbody

I did machine weights for over 2 months, now I just started free-weights and love it, it's so much better than Machine weights.  Well the days I do my upperbody I am doing a complete upperbody workout.  Of Course I cannot hit each thing hard as hell, because I am doing it all in one day. I need to get on a program where I am doing like 2 muscle groups only and doing them hard, and the next day go do another 2 muscle groups hard....I am just going by what my fitness trainer has me on right now, he said a whole upperbody workout in one workout session is alot, but he wanted to make it simple for me just starting out.

1.  Bench Press or Dumb Bell Press
2. Incline Bench press or Dumb Bell Incline Press
3. Pulldowns (Back)
4. Rows (Back )
5. Dumb Bells (shoulders)
6. Dumb Bell Curls
7. Preacher Curls (Or Curls Of my choice)
8. Skull Crushiers (Triceps)
9. Tricep pulldowns
10. Abs.

Can anyone give me some good advice for a newbie like myself, should I keep doing that program or break it down?

Ok my question, I really got off topic....Ok I am 203lbs and I am almost 5ft10, how much do you think I should weigh????  I am bigger dude, my trainer said to me oneday " I see you benching alot of weight someday dude, because you are Compact, I guess I am big and compact, I am not like big, big...I just have a little more brute to me than the average guy my height.  I have naturally bigger arms, frame, neck and that sort of thing, but like I said I am not way bigger than the average Man.  I am packing on muscle, my shoulders, arms, back you can really see the ripples or mass I am putting on as far as muscle goes, I still have a long way to go but 100% better than I was when i first started out.  I still have a little bit of a gut, but overall it's getting smaller also, I am to the point where you can't see a 6 pack, but you can see the outline of a 6 pack wanting to show through...What do you guys thing I should be weighing in at roughly? And also my body isn't losing the weight like it was before it kinda came to a stop, I been the same weight for almost 3 weeks now.  Should I just stay the same weight and pack on the muscle? Or cut my calories for a few weeks and see where it goes? Don't wanna lose muscle mass of course.

Well, what's your body fat percentage? The pros have like 40 in lean BMI, and you have around 30 in total BMI.

Time for some maths.

Body Mass Index (the least reliable): Height: 1.778m, Weight: 92kg, BMI= 29.10 (Ranking: Obese) Perfect BMI = 25 = 79kg (174lb)
% Bodyfat (the more reliable): Weight: 203lbs, Waist Size: Undertermined, estimate: 41, % Bodyfat= 27%, Essential Bodyfat = 15% therefore essential bodyweight = 178lbs bodyweight

Hmmm, why is perfect BMI 25? That's borderline overweight.

Hey Muscle man pretty cool stats you put out there. Very cool.  Sorry I didn't mention my waist size.  I wear like a 38 jean, the few pairs I have are a little loose on me, I might be able to squeeze into a pair of 36 jeans depending on the maker of the pant.

What the... Dude, there's nothing more cool about those stats than 365 days through 12 months makes the average month 30.416666666666666666666666... days. I still don't get what you mean by asking how much you should weigh. For example, for what purpose? If it's winning the Mr O, you need to pack on like a 100 pounds. If it's any other contest, just look at people in those competitions and think you gotta be like them or bigger to win. So, for what purpose are you asking how much you should weigh? And what's your body fat%?

I mean yeah If I was trying to be a sumo wrestler or some Mr O Bodybuilder dude, yeah sure, or if I wanted to be trim as can be while being healthy and a runner type my weight would be alot different...I am asking overall what should I weigh without tons and tons of lean muscle, and just in shape.  The muscle will come later and my weight will increase, but I just wanted an ideal weight for a 5ft9-5ft10 Man a little bigger than average boned is all.

Aha... I got the impression you've been building for some time. Well, a BMI between 18.5-25 is fine, but try to keep it at 20-22.5 (139-157lbs). As you become more muscular, the BMI becomes less relevant.
